Building Community and Giving Back: The InterLink Way
At InterLink Engineering, building a community is as important to us as building products. We’re proud to lead the Phoenix SolidWorks User Group (SWUG), a space where engineers, designers, and SolidWorks users come together to learn, collaborate, and grow. We’re also dedicated to giving back in other ways, especially this holiday season as we team up with The Armer Foundation for Kids to support families in need. From technical discussions to impactful partnerships, we’re all about creating connections that make a difference.
About The Phoenix Metro SolidWorks User Group
The Phoenix Metro SolidWorks User Group (PMSWUG) is where SolidWorks enthusiasts across the Phoenix metro area gather to explore, share, and expand their knowledge. As leaders of Phoenix SWUG, we’re passionate about fostering a community where users can learn, network, and discuss the latest developments in SolidWorks—a powerful CAD program by Dassault Systèmes that specializes in 3D modeling, 2D drawings, and design analysis.
Our mission is to make each meetup valuable and accessible to everyone, whether you’re just starting out with SolidWorks or have years of experience. We cover a range of topics, from essential tips and tricks to advanced techniques, ensuring that each member leaves with practical knowledge they can apply in their own work. And with SolidWorks continuously evolving, these meetups are a fantastic way to keep skills fresh and stay connected with industry trends.
The Phoenix Metro SWUG provides a welcoming forum for discussing all things SolidWorks. It’s an environment where questions, ideas, and knowledge flow freely, and where professional connections grow stronger with each meeting. If you’re interested in becoming part of a supportive community that values collaboration and ongoing learning, we’d love to see you at our next event. Learn more about Phoenix SWUG here.
Why We’re Proud About SWUG
Our commitment to SWUG goes beyond leading meetings and organizing events. At InterLink Engineering, we see Phoenix SWUG as a platform to inspire and empower the next generation of innovators in our field. The relationships we build through SWUG strengthen our community, sparking new ideas, creative problem-solving, and professional growth for all involved.
We know that SolidWorks users are not only interested in developing their skills but also in creating a meaningful impact in their careers and communities. By providing this platform, we’re enabling them to do both. SWUG members often tell us how being part of the group has positively influenced their work, helped them stay updated on industry trends, and even introduced them to mentors and collaborators. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the direct impact SWUG has on members’ personal and professional lives, and we’re proud to facilitate this growth.
Partnering with the Armer Foundation For Kids
Our commitment to community doesn’t stop at the workplace. This holiday season, we’re excited to partner with The Armer Foundation for Kids, a local non-profit that provides crucial support to families facing extended hospital stays due to serious health challenges.
The Armer Foundation makes a real difference in families' lives by supplying essential items like toiletries, snacks, and games, as well as gifts for birthdays and holidays. For families going through the stress of long-term hospital stays, these thoughtful donations bring a bit of comfort and joy to children and parents alike.
We’re calling on our network and the broader community to join us in supporting this amazing foundation. Here are some ways to get involved:
Bring a donation to one of our events. The Foundation particularly needs items for toddlers and teens, so consider bringing a toy, toiletry, or a snack.
Purchase a holiday wreath for $50. All proceeds go directly to The Armer Foundation, ensuring they can continue this essential work during the holiday season and beyond.
For more information about The Armer Foundation and the impactful work they’re doing, visit their website here. We’re thrilled to support this cause and hope you’ll join us in making a difference.
Inspiring Future Generations
At InterLink Engineering, we’re passionate about inspiring the next generation of engineers and designers. You may see us at educational talks in local schools, sharing insights on SolidWorks, engineering, and product design to spark curiosity and encourage young minds to explore STEM fields. Each of us has had someone inspire us and show us what’s possible with the right education, and we want to pass that on.
We’ve spoken, moderated, judged, and answered questions at various levels—even as young as middle school. We also support a local college-level designer for summer internships whenever possible, with applications accepted every spring. If you'd like us to speak at your school or organization, let us know—we’re always excited to share our experiences and knowledge with our community.
Designing For Change
Part of our community support comes by supporting our clients! From inventors to large-scale companies, our community brings ideas for life-saving devices, and we work to connect them with our network of local patent attorneys, manufacturers, and marketing professionals. We offer an hour of free consulting to every enthusiastic team with an idea to improve the world. Schedule a consult today!
A Year-Round Commitment to Our Community
Our passion for giving back and connecting with others is something we’re proud to carry year-round. Through our work with the Phoenix SolidWorks User Group (SWUG) and partnerships with organizations like The Armer Foundation for Kids, we’re dedicated to strengthening our community in ways that extend beyond engineering. Supporting families through the Armer Foundation reminds us that compassion builds community, one act at a time, and our gatherings with SWUG keep us learning, growing, and connecting with one another.
Whether we’re hosting SolidWorks events, sharing insights with the next generation, or raising awareness for local causes, we’re committed to making a meaningful difference. This holiday season, we’re honored to support families in need through the Armer Foundation, and we invite our community to join us in giving back.
We’re also thrilled to announce that our Summer Design Workshops and Free “Office Hour” Design Time will be coming soon—stay tuned for more details!
At InterLink Engineering, we don’t just deliver solutions; we build relationships. As we close out the year, we’re excited to continue this journey of learning, growing, and giving back—together.
We’re always looking for new ways to give back. Reach out to find out how you can get involved with us or to share ideas for future projects!
